Slowly breathing in and breathing out
As I'm lurking behind my shadow
Casting aside my fears and doubt
So I can face tomorrow
Unleash the truth, believe within
I'm stronger than the unknown
Don't have to give into the sin
Just step outside my comfort zone

There's something bout that kick and snare/
That makes my sonic sense aware/
A mundane moment turns into an artistic affair/
Electric current in the air / This is what I've been prepared/
for, it can take me anywhere/ or it can keep me sitting there/
That's just how it goes I know that there's no point in getting scared/
Living with a vision I just feel like I am meant to share/
A multi syllable millionaire/ A kid that dared to pen his prayers/
Felt like I was lost at sea so I was trying to send up flares/
Writing rhymes became a therapy for me on many layers/
Even when the audience was nothing but indifferent glares/
Take my soul and strip it bare/ And you will see something in there/
Hopefully that helps somehow if you're ever in despair/
It seems like something like that nowadays is really pretty rare/
And our common decency has fallen into disrepair/
The pages we are inked up on may be full of rips and tears/
But we can tell the story of some one who really cares/ (Listen)

that puts me deep in thought again/
I'm pondering my problems when I'm wondering while wandering/
I'm caught up in the plot thickening, walking in a monster's den/
I'm conquering the monster but I'll probably never slaughter him/
Hes part of me, I'm part of him/ And there in lies the art of men/
Our consciousness is all we have of worth so here's my offering/
I'm going off on tangents but I'm going in on songs again/
I'm going up the tallest tree and going out upon a limb/
to open up to all of you, here now like you have always been/
I'm honoring the work of those who didn't let the darkness win/
Who stood against the largest sin some to point of martyrdom/
I'll not pretend to comprehend the power that was charging them/
It damn sure wasn't marketing/ or paranormal bargaining/
It's probably something more eternal and more pure than oxygen/
Not making any promises but focused on whats promising/
